Before ordering a figurine as a gift
Choose the drawing, check the display space and ask about the date before committing to a gift order.

Before ordering a custom figurine for a birthday or another occasion, settle four practical questions: which drawing to use, who will review the previews, where the figurine will be displayed and when it is needed.
Choose a drawing with a clear subject
Use a drawing whose character the recipient will recognise. If the page contains several characters, choose one with its whole outline visible. Keep the original photo or scan so you can compare it with the previews.
If choosing is part of the gift, involve the drawing’s creator. If it is a surprise, make your own short note of the details that seem essential: a particular expression, a colour or a mark on the body. The guide to preparing a drawing photo covers this step.
Leave time for decisions before ordering
You review an image preview first, then choose a size and review a separate 3D model before checkout. Decide who will make those approvals. A preview is a digital interpretation of the drawing; check it carefully before paying.
If the expression or another important feature has changed, pause and ask about it. You do not have to approve a preview simply because the gift date is approaching. Use the preview checklist to review both versions.
Ask about the date before checkout
Contact Figura with the occasion date and destination country before ordering. Ask whether the order can be made and delivered in time. Do not treat a generated preview or an available checkout as confirmation of an arrival date.
After checkout, the workshop checks the model’s geometry, scale and printability. Read what the production check covers if you want to understand that step.
Plan for display and budget
Figura figurines are for display, not play. Think about where the recipient would keep one. If possible, measure the available space or choose with them using the size and space guide.
Compare the current sizes and prices, then check shipping and any applicable taxes in the final checkout total. If gift packaging or another presentation detail matters, ask what is available before ordering rather than assuming it is included.
Keep the drawing with the gift
A copy of the original drawing can sit beside the figurine and show where the character began. A short note from you about why you chose that drawing is enough.
